2025 SIWGA schedule is TBD!
This is a team tournament. Each player has an assigned handicap that has been adjusted for this team game. On every hole, each member of the team records her score. The two lowest net scores are combined and entered as the team net score and the two lowest gross scores are combined and are recorded as the team gross score.
The team is responsible for computing their cards for their lowest total net score and then their total lowest gross score for the 18 holes. The Card should be signed when play has been completed and then brought to the scoring table.
During play, if a procedural question arises, play two balls until the conclusion of that hole. Then bring the issue to the scoring table at the conclusion of your round before signing your card.
All ties - MATCH OF CARDS - using net or gross scores for back nine, back six, back three, front nine, front six, front 3, etc.
This is an individual tournament. 18 Hole Stroke Play, Gross & Net If there is any doubt regarding a rule, play two balls and bring to the committee at the tournament end before you hand in your cards.

This is a “six-person team” stableford tournament. On every hole, each member of the team records their score and computes points earned. The four highest points by hole shall be counted towards the team’s score. Only four players scores count for each hole.
Once a player has taken two strokes over par, the player should pick up their ball since no points are awarded for scores greater than bogey.
Scorecards should be completed, signed and returned to the scoring table. A courtesy card has been provided for you to keep your scores.
If a procedural question arises during play, players should play two balls until the conclusion of that hole. Questioning of a competitor’s actions should take place at the hole where the possible infraction occurred. Play 2 balls if possible. Bring the issue to the scoring table for resolution at the conclusion of your round before signing your card. If the possible infraction was not discussed prior to presentation to the scorers, the Rules Committee may not consider the complaint.
Points Awarded for:
Bogey = 1 point Par = 2 points
Birdie = 4 points Eagle = 6 points
Double Eagle = 8 points
The winning team is the team with the highest number of points
In the event of a tie, teams tied for first place will select two of their players to play a three-hole playoff beginning at the hole designated by the Course Manager. If further holes are needed after the third hole, it will be decided by sudden death. For ties other than first place, a match of cards will be made under the rules described below.
MATCH OF CARDS – All other places will be determined using the best score of the last 9 holes. If still tied, on the basis of the last 6 holes, 3 holes and finally the 18th hole.
Special “thanks” to all the Ladies Clubs for their continued support throughout the season.
On every hole, each member of the team hits a tee shot. The team decides which is the best ball. All members of the team hit from that spot.
This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed out. A team score is recorded and the team moves to the next tee.
Each team member may place her ball within one club length of the selected shot, but no nearer to the hole.
When putting, you may place your ball within six inches of the selected spot. (Again, no nearer to the hole).
Teams are cautioned not to make tap-ins until all members of the team have had an opportunity to attempt the team's original putt. Once the ball is holed, no further strokes count.
NOTE: Each player on the team must contribute two drives.
The team handicap is computed by the committee using individual handicaps from the most recent revision.
Threesomes do NOT have an extra shot, it is only a foursome tournament.
All ties - MATCH OF CARDS - using back nine, back six, back three, front nine, front six, front 3, etc.
One qualifying round. Stroke play with cut to be made at the end of the round. No more than two "byes" in any flight - match play to begin after qualifying round.
This is a 2-player team tournament. Each player has an assigned handicap that has been adjusted for this team game. The format of the tournament changes every 6 holes. The first 6 holes will be Better Ball. The next six holes will be Alternate Shot. The last six holes will be Scramble.
Better Ball Holes 1 – 6: Each player plays her own ball (as it lies). A player should pick up if her partner is in with a better score. Record both the best gross and best net score for the team.
Alternate Shot Holes 7 – 12: Both players tee off, then one drive is selected and that ball is played in with the person whose drive was not selected making the next shot and alternating until the ball is holed. In this format, PLAY IT AS IT LIES; using the one ball selected. For example – If Play A hits the ball into a hazard or OB, Player B plays the next shot (proceeding under the appropriate hazard or OB rule). If in a hazard and if the team elects to take a penalty, Player B will be hitting. Record both the gross and net score for the team.
Scramble Format Holes 13 – 18: Each player tees off on each hole. The best tee shot is selected and both players play their second shots from that spot. The best second shot is selected and both players play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Record both the gross and net score for the team.
General Scramble Rules Include:
Place balls within one club length of the original ball. On the green 3 inches. Each player must contribute at least one drive.
In placing the ball, you may not change the condition of the shot if the ball is in a hazard. All members of the team must play their shot from the hazard; cannot take a club length to remove it w/o penalty. On the putting green, give each person a shot at the first putt. Do not hole out a short putt if you have missed your first putt since the first ball holed is the stroke that counts.
The team is responsible for computing their cards for their lowest total net score and gross score for the 18 holes. Both cards should be signed when play is completed and brought to the scoring table. If during play, a procedural question arises, it is recommended that the player play two balls until the conclusion of that hole. Then bring the issue to the scoring table at the conclusion of your round before signing your card.
Unless preferred lie is indicated at the Registration Table, the ball is to be played as it lies.
TIES – The winner will be determined by a match of cards using the USGA method, for the gross – the team gross scores of the back 9, back 6, etc. If in the net flight, team net score for back 9, back 6, etc.
